Military, law enforcement, fire and emergency service workers on all fronts are fulfilling a key function of government. I’m proud to be a 2002 Idaho Police Academy graduate. I support and will continue to support the people and families who serve our communities and country.

I support wildlife management and have Idaho Hunting and Fishing licenses.

I have a concealed weapons permit and have for over 10 years. As governor, I will uphold and defend the U.S. Constitution and all Constitutional Amendments, which is what all elected officials take an oath to do.

I was born in Pennsylvania and I grew up with mid-western family values.

While every one of us may never agree on what form a family should be, my guess is that we will agree that a family should be a safe haven full of love. Safety without love is a prison. Love without safety is a danger zone.

As governor of Idaho, I plan to promote services that protect and nurture strong children and families who are able to continue to live and work in Idaho.

When serving Idaho as Governor, I do not plan to promote a change of current laws on abortion.

Energy:

Energy conservation alone does not appear to be a sufficient solution to this country's ongoing energy and power needs. Technology improvements over the last three decades have made most energy production processes better. Applying lessons learned from other countries along with technology improvements and good environmental management practices to our current and future forms of energy production is critical - which means continuing to explore all forms of energy production with equal merit and consideration: which leaves nuclear power on the table for ongoing discussion and development.
